Five Prosperity Keys – Part One
Five Prosperity Keys – Part One
Posted August 16, 2014 By Dr. Steve Mbua
Prosperity like healing, is God’s will for us. But we must put our faith to work just like we do when it comes to healing. I am often reminded of the lady in the fifteenth chapter of Matthew’s gospel. This was the only known occasion during His ministry that Jesus went outside of the boundaries of Palestine. And this was of a Gentile woman who had faith for the healing of her daughter. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt.( Matthew 15:28)
In Physics there is a phenomenon called “the Law of Cause and Effect”. It means for every cause there is an opposite effect.
Here are Five Keys that will help Expedite Prosperity in your Life.
Key # 1: Have faith that you will prosper
The Canaanitish woman came to Jesus in faith knowing exactly what she wanted from Jesus and she was determined to get it at any cost. After she made her request we are told, But he answered her not a word (Matthew 15:23)
Jesus’ attitude was intended to test the woman’s faith and after she passed the test of faith, she was rewarded by the miraculous healing of her daughter.
This woman knew what was hers even as a Gentile, she was blessed by Israel’s Messiah. We can create our own personal prosperity today. But do you have faith for prosperity?
Key #2: Become Addicted to God’s Word
“I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)” (1 Corinthians 16:15) KJV
Notice the words used in this verse. This family had addicted themselves to the ministry.
The word addict is a commonly used word in our day.
According to Tabor’s Medical Dictionary ADDICTION means: to have a “physical dependence on a substance, with use of increasing amounts.
Mosby’s medical dictionary defines it as: compulsive, uncontrollable dependence on a substance.
Imagine for a moment if all believers would become addicted to the word, what would happen.
The following verses highlight some of the results of word addiction.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. (John 15:7)
“If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.”( Leviticus 26:3-5)
“If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:”(Isaiah 1:19)
“For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”( Isaiah 55:10-11)
“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.” (Deuteronomy 28:1-2 )
